Creative Science Content
Izzie Clarke is an award-winning freelance podcast producer, author and science journalist on a mission to prove that science is anything but boring.
With a Masters in Physics, a love of nature, sustainability & music as well and a production background at BBC Radio 1, 6Music and BBC 5Live Science, Izzie has made a career out of turning complex ideas into compelling stories.
She has produced multiple audio projects for BBC, global brands and charities, including the UK’s #1 space podcast, The Supermassive Podcast. As a former Exec producer at Fresh Air, she also led standout podcasts including That’s Just Wild with Steve Backshall, Lizzie Daly and Sarah Roberts, Technology Now for HPE, Call of the Wild for WWF-UK, and This Is Not A Beauty Podcast hosted by Isabella Rossellini for L’Oreal, in partnership with T-Brand, the content studio within New York Times Advertising.
Izzie is the author of two books (… with a third releasing Sept 2027) about space for both adults and young readers. Everyday STEM: Space is a space guide for 9–11 year olds and The Year in Space is a cosmic round-up of the biggest space news for 2022.
As a presenter, Izzie also hosts events, online series and consults for various clients which include the European Space Agency, ViaSat, the UK Space Education Office (ESERO-UK) and the Science Museum Group.
Izzie has tried astronaut training, raced cars, and blown things up — all in the pursuit of making science seriously fun.
